LOCATIONS
Below are all the locations I plan to use for production in my final piece. I have chosen the areas based on the ideas I have for the different settings I will need for my news bulletin.
The first setting will be the main studio. Our college has a radio studio which I will use to do the majority of my recording and editing. It is equipped with four microphones and headphone sets. An Apple Mac computer, two further monitors for showing extra information e.g. scripts on screen, a control panel and mixing desk. Below are some images I have taken off the studio.

The next setting will be the location of the major number one story on the news bulletin. A large incident such as an attack or a murder will take place in Rumford 'Rosethawn Park' and will be where the outside broadcast is broadcast from. The location is actually Orrell Water Park and is a ten-minute walk from the college. It consists of two medium sized reservoirs and some woodland area. It also has an ice cream parlour and a large park. Lodge road runs parallel to the Water park but will be called 'Acorn Way', this is exactly where the reporter will be located as the fictional park will be closed off by police due to the incident.

A Vox Pop will be included in the news bulletin. I'm not yet sure what the question will be that is put forward to the 'Rumford Public' but it will be something to do with a story that will provoke the local community e.g. the closure of an institution or the termination of a social provision. For this reason, the next setting will be a community centre type of location. I don't have access to a real community centre so I will instead use the college canteen. This isn't a controlled environment so there will be some background noise, however, this will be appropriate for the fiction setting.
